For me, the Border Collie breed embodies the phrase “Already There”. When you merely think about going for a walk or getting into your car, they are already there, waiting. When you throw a ball or frisbee, they are already there, ready to catch it. In agility, they are flying through obstacles before you can even get the words out of your mouth. And of course, in herding they are rounding a herd of sheep by the time you say, “Come by”. No matter the plans for your Border Collie companion, they are ready for any job you give them. The permanent expression on their face says, “Put me in coach, I’m ready!”
